The vision for the AG Town church in Kothamangalam began in the hearts of a few Spirit-filled believers who desired a place to gather, pray, and grow in the Lord. In early 1986, services were held in small gatherings, often in homes, under the leadership of early pastors and lay ministers who faithfully sowed the seeds of faith .They aimed to proclaim the Gospel, practice practical Christian ethics, and serve the community with compassion and truth. With prayer and dedication, the church officially took shape in 1992, under the pastoral leadership Sof Malayalam District Council Of The South India Assemblies Of God

A significant milestone in the church’s journey was the construction of its own sanctuary in 1992, which became a center for worship, revival meetings, and regional conferences. The building stands today as a testament to God’s faithfulness and the sacrificial efforts of the believers. Congregation grew steadily, marked by powerful worship, sound doctrine, and a deep emphasis on the work of the Holy Spirit. Over the years, the church expanded its ministries to include Sunday School, youth fellowship, women’s ministry, and outreach missions, serving both spiritual and social needs of the local community Church has also become a spiritual home to a diverse group of believers, including college students, travelers, and local families, who find fellowship, guidance, and support within its walls..
